“Those who look for the bad in people will surely find it”

is a quote by Abraham Lincoln that I feel pertains to LITERALLY everything ever.

If you irrationally try to nitpick things you don’t like about somebody, you are absolutely going to find something. Clothes they wear that you don’t like, food they eat that you don’t like, things they say that you don’t like, etc.

But the same sentiment applies to other things as well.

If you go into a situation moody, upset, or again, irrational, then you’re not going to have a good time–plain and simple.

The key to generally enjoying things more, or being less tense and hostile toward anything, I feel, is a good mindset.

Now, even typing that out sounds cliche, a little stupid, and sorta pretentious. However, it’s true! I think at least!

There’s always something to like about things, people, or situations. As untrue as that may feel sometimes, there always is at least one.

So if you’re feeling despaired or down, please, just try to look for the good in it. Or a reason or two to feel better about your current situation than the one prior. There’s always something, remember that.
